Dear Friends,

I have truly learned that through watching nature, you learn so much about the changing of the seasons. This holds so true at my home. Lately, our cats have all awakened from their hibernation of constant “cat-naps”, to having extra spring in their jumps, and many sleepiness nights of romp and playfulness that seems to never end! The birds in our yard came back from a winter’s rest, and make it known every morning they’re waiting to be fed. Yes, even though Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, I think Spring is on its way sooner than we think.

So not only am I ready for Spring, but we have Mulberry Cottage all ready for Spring as well! Our Spring Open House is March 3^rd. The doors open at 10 am, but come early because the first 50 customers will receive a FREE gift with a $40 min. purchase.

We’ll also have a morning performance of Traditional Irish dancing by Kelly’s School of Traditional Irish Dance! Plus, there will be 3 chances through the day to win a $25 gift certificate. Just find the golden Egg! And as always, we will be serving refreshments and sampling some yummy eats to give you great ideas on what to serve at Easter or Spring-time brunch.

Yes, the shop is in full bloom with the colors and beauty of a spring day. In each room of the Cottage, you will find many great things that will help you inject some springtime colors to brighten up your home this season!

Do you remember when you were little, you’d wake up on Easter morning anxiously hoping that the Easter Bunny had arrived? Well at the Cottage, the Easter Bunny has surely arrived with goodies for both the young, and the “not so young”.

When you walk into the shop, you will see the Easter season at its best. Now, I’m not going to give too much information on what you’ll find (because I do want it to be a surprise), but let me just say, we do have many unique items; from the stunning to the cute and cuddly, there’s something for everybody and for every home.

In our newly named “Boutique Room”, you will find a wide selection spring treasures. To ensure we don’t forget the meaning of the Easter season, our spiritual and Celtic section has beautiful angels, crosses, plaques and other treasures of faith to remind us of the reason for the season and how much we are loved.

Our Soaps & Lotions section has 2 new arrivals. Emma’s Friends Soaps and Lotions are wonderful and the story behind how and why these soaps and lotions are made is a very heart-warming story. A story that will make you feel so good each and every time you purchase something from this line. Another new line we have in the Cottage is Worker B. This is a perfect high-quality line of hand-crafted lotions, creams and balms for those hard working garden-lovers who just love to get their hands in the dirt.

Of course we have Vera Bradley in our “Boutique Room” and our beach section has grown with some wonderful pieces that are perfect for any beach cottage. Our kids section is blooming with spring things for the wee ones! Many fun things for the Easter baskets!

I also want to mention our newly redesigned Stationary area which I call the “Writer’s Corner”. I love this section. We have many nice stationary items from note pads to journals and pens., and many other items useful for any one who loves to write. I have also brought in some special journals that are great gifts for some special people in all of our lives. These journals will help them tell a story, or I should say write a story of their lives that us their children and grandchildren will cherish forever. This is a section that will continue to grow so make sure to stop by this section when you’re at the Cottage!

The Oh so secretive “Spring Room”, we call it. This room is truly a work of art. The display team completely out did themselves this year! I can honestly say when you walk into this room you will see the wonderment of spring at its best. So make sure to take your time. Walk thru it slowly and walk thru it many times because there is so much to see. You will find the spring season at its best in this room! I am sure you will find many a treasure for you to bring into your home. Now, that is all I am going to say about this room because I do want this to be a surprise! Let me just say every time I walk into this room my eyes light up and my heart becomes full of the joyful spring season!

Just off the Spring Room is the heart of any home… “the Kitchen”. This room has so many tasty treats, eats and beautiful tabletop and tea items that will bring Springtime into your home. Many yummy dips, deserts and other treats we have for this spring season. Gourmet Village, Pelican Bay, House of Webster just to name a few. Of course our tea section has the most beautiful Teapots, teacups and beautiful mugs for a gift or for yourself. Yes, we have some of the most adorable tea sets for the wee ones too!

So even though Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, we are not wasting any time! We are ready for the Spring Season here at Mulberry Cottage and we want to help you get ready for Spring to! We hope you will join us for a day of celebration as we celebrate the coming of Spring with all of you, our friends! We hope to see you at the Cottage for our 20th annual Spring Open house!
